As the Director Merchandise Manager (DMM) of Paradies Lagardère Shannon oversees over $100M in sales that contributes to the organizations continued success in the Travel Retail industry. She has leadership responsibility for Merchandise categories in General Merchandise, Jewelry, Accessories and Toys. In addition, her team manages a few of the National Brand shops in airports that we all love: Brighton, Pandora, Swarovski and Kendra Scott and Proprietary Brands like: Hip & Humble, and The Apartment. Shannon is also a founding member of the organization’s Diversity & Inclusion Council. She was instrumental in the development of the first Employee Resource Groups: Women In Flight and United People of Paradies Lagardère. Shannon has led the Paradies Lagardère X Miracle Flights partnership and product launch to support their mission to help children and their families access health care not in their communities.

With over thirty years of business experience, Shannon has spearheaded the expansion of local and minority owned business portfolio of retail vendors in US and Canada. Her passion for diversifying the vendor base over the last five years is noteworthy. Her work experience includes buying responsibility in mass and specialty retail. Prior to her role with Paradies Lagardère, Shannon was the Buyer of Lingerie for the Kmart division of Sears Holdings. In this role, she curated and developed private label product assortments (like Joe Boxer) and partnered with major brands for the company’s 1,000+ stores.

Shannon is a counted-on business leader that has consistently expanded her leadership scope over time. Shannon serves on the AMAC (Airport Minority Advisory Council) Supplier Diversity Initiative Sub-Committee. She is currently on the Advisory Board for two Souvenir Industry Trade shows: Surf Expo and The Reunion. In her current role, she has been recognized for outstanding employee survey engagement scores as well having a high employee retention rate. She is a mentor to many and loves seeing people grow. She has won awards for Merchandising All Star Team (2015, 2024), Merchandising MVP (2016) and Brand Strategy and Execution (2017) at Paradies Lagardere.

A native of Metro-Detroit, Michigan, she attended Southfield-Lathrup High School, she received her BA in Fashion Merchandising from Western Michigan University and holds an MBA in Marketing from Strayer University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Shannon resides in Metro-Atlanta, Georgia and has a 27-year-old daughter.
